Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I learned from this unit that teaching is not just about knowing the material. Classroom management is almost an art form in which eye contact, voice, gestures, grouping and arranging students, and discipline are the materials. Finding the balance between Teacher Talking Time and Student Talking Time I find is critical because if the teacher is always talking, the students are never given the opportunity to do so.This unit explains the differences between stress and intonation. It also gives examples of each and their uses. This unit also covers the different ways in which we use our mouths to create different sounds and also explains various teaching methods we can incorporate into lessons when teaching English. It gives a clear explanation of all the phonetic symbols which are used in the International Phonetic Alphabet.
