About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable and experienced professional to lead and develop outstanding pastoral provision for our students and the wider school community. Aspiring to excellence through the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care; promoting positive relationships by modelling integrity, compassion and respect; acting ambitiously through setting high expectations for behaviour, inclusion and personal development; and demonstrating a clear commitment to securing the very best school experience for every student.
Requirements
You will demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and will, in particular:
Champion a culture of care, belonging and emotional safety across the Primary school;Inspire trust and confidence in students, colleagues and parents;Lead on behaviour, wellbeing and student support with clarity, consistency and compassion;Ensure robust safeguarding systems and practices are embedded and upheld at all times;Promote positive relationships and a restorative, values-led approach to behaviour and pastoral care;Use attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing data to identify trends, plan intervention and improve outcomes for students;Support students’ personal development, resilience and confidence, enabling them to thrive both socially and emotionally;Ensure consistency and continuity in pastoral practice across all year groups in the Primary phase;Build staff capacity and confidence in pastoral care, behaviour support and child wellbeing;Work in close partnership with families and external agencies where appropriate to ensure effective support for students;Contribute to school improvement planning and strategic development in relation to safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion and pastoral systems;Promote the school mission and values and those of the NAE family of schools.Qualifications/TrainingsQualified to degree level.Qualified Teacher Status.Safeguarding training Level 3
Experience
Previous experience of leading PSHE curriculumExperience of impact in a leadership role.Proven track record with at least five years’ teaching experience.Experience of being part of a highly successful department and school.Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricula to engage children and enable them to perform highly.Knowledge of school information management systems (iSAMS, wellbeing manager).Wide ranging up to date knowledge of safeguarding knowledge, trends and a solid understanding of KCSIEExperience of working in partnership with parents.
Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.Resourcefulness.Highly ICT literate, with strong organisational and analytical skills.Ability to work closely with a team and support others.
