Kings Summer is a thriving division of Kings Education providing an excellent choice of 4 summer residential locations for junior students in the UK. We are now recruiting enthusiastic professional EFL teachers for our various locations in the UK for work starting in late June/Early July.

The role of the teacher at Kings Summer is to provide a positive EFL instruction to our international students. Some of our schools operate a zigzag system where half the students have lesson in the morning and the other half in the afternoon over 5 days. In this scenario teachers are required to teach 30 hours per week and also work on a full day excursion or an airport transfer. In centres with morning only teaching, teachers teach 15 hours and do activity sessions and a full day excursion or airport transfer. All staff are expected to do some meal and bedtime duties and work a 6 day week.

Kings Summer is committed to the safeguarding of our students. All summer staff will be expected to adhere to our Child safeguarding policy. References (2 recent professional references) will be followed up and gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily. Appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to confirmation of appointment. Applicants based overseas will be asked to provide a 'clean' local police check.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In Unit 8 we learned about the future tenses. These happen to be much easier than the past because their are key words to each one. SOme of the examples are future simple tense, future perfect, and future continuous. Some of these tenses have different rules such as time frame and if they are predicting something. This is how one is able to determine and tell the future tenses apart.I feel this unit did a good job of wrapping up the major points of English grammar. I recall modal verbs being discussed in the video included in the unit covering proper and improper teaching techniques. I had been curious about them so I am glad that they were covered. The unit also continued to build on past units which again serves to solidify the information for native speakers.
