Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Tenses and reported speech are something that higher level learners will have to have a grasp on or they will get lost. The rules for reported speech are different than what they will have come across as direct speech needs translation that is often not thought about to be transcribed to another person. This way, it will offer less confusion and they will be able to use it without confusion. This unit explores 4 more tenses in the English language all dealing with past tense. The unit explains the use of irregular verbs, and explains in great detail the how English speakers use different tenses within past tense to convey meaning. This was slightly more easy to understand than present tense as the words continuously and perfect allowed a clear separation between the four tenses.
