Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I enjoyed this lesson because I learned more about incorporating authentic texts. In my class we use a lot of texts that are focused on beginner English. I am excited to try out teaching from authentic texts. I also enjoyed learning more about how to capture student's interest in selection of topics. I feel that it is very important that the students are interested in the topic being taught.I have learnt the ways to start a lesson. An example would be to start with a game instead of just doing grammar / vocabulary exercises once they enter the classroom. This is to allow the students to warm up to the language again and not be bored of class. I also learnt that for the first lesson, I can do ice breaking games to know the students language level as well as to establish rapport.
