Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The material of this unit was centered on the use of the past tenses. In all, there are four past tenses; Past Simple, Past Perfect, Past Continuous, and Past Perfect Continuous. Each has their own different structures with a positive, negative, and question form. The unit detailed each tense’s uses and provided some of the mistakes that students can make, as well as some activities to help students learn the tenses more easily. This unit recognizes the fact that sometimes groups of English learners have special interests and special needs. For example, children must be taught using activities and language appropriate to their developmental psychology. Furthermore, many English learners are looking to know very specific vocabulary that relates to their professional life. It is good to be aware of different strategies to employ in these various circumstances.
