American ALIFA Sushan Language Center is a private English language center located in Shenyang, Liaoning, China, a large city to the Northeast of Beijing and better known as the former capital of the Manchurian Empire (the last Empire).
Shenyang is a big city of 7 million people with a hometown atmosphere. It's just an overnight train ride from Beijing and a few hours train ride from the Yellow Sea.
It houses its own Imperial Palace, and two Manchurian Emperors' tombs.
Now that you know more about our city, let me tell you about our schools.
We currently have ten native ESL teachers teaching in four language centers throughout Shenyang. Most of our students are ages 6 to 16 with occassional adult or kindergarten classes. We team teach with Chinese English teachers who are responsible for the writing and reading progress of the students, including testing, evaluating and meeting with parents; therefore allowing the foreign teachers to focus on speaking and listening.

Below is a summary of our basic contract:
Salary: 5000 RMB for up to 80 hours/ month; most classes are in the evening and on the weekend with a few programs in local schools in the afternoon. Overtime is voluntary and paid 80 RMB/hr.
Benefits:

*Paid utilities except for telephone.
*Transportation fee provided for teachers whose schools are not near their housing.
*Full airfare reimbursement for a twelve-month contract (11 month contracts optional)

*24 hour/day assistance with a friendly and helpful staff
