Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit returns to the subject of English grammar and takes a close look at the different forms of conditional sentences and how to teach them effectively in the classroom. The unit also explains the differences between direct and reported speech. I really liked that it simplified a topic that I remember having a lot of trouble with, by giving clear examples and using simple language. In unit 9 we looked at how to select course materials and the advantages and disadvantages to course textbooks. In addition to the course textbook, teachers are encouraged to use authentic materials as well as creative materials to help tailor the lesson to the students. One new thing I learned was that the publisher should not necessarily be taken into account when choosing a textbook.
