Ashton College has vacancies for 2 qualified Instructors on a short term contract for the months of September and October. We are seeking instructional staff who have experience teaching business concepts to International ESL students. A suitable academic qualification (minimum of a Bachelor's degree) is also required. Preference will be given to candidates who have a recognized TEFL qualification from an accredited institution.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

AS usual I found this unit very difficult with all of the grammar variations. While I understand direct and reported speech, as I teach that is Year 4, I did find the final few questions challenging. I ended up choosing the answer that sounded correct to me. I understand to do it this way is a problem but having been an English first language speaker for over 65 years it is the approach I go to automatically.This unit provided a succinct, thorough overview of simple past, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous grammar. I appreciated the way the unit built on the subject matter previously taught in the present tense unit. Although I do not have to teach grammar in my current job, it may be useful to be able to use what I've learned in this unit to clearly identify and correct student mistakes.
