Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit is about the parts of speech. It is extremely important for an English teacher to be able to analyze and understand them in order to explain them appropriately. I, personally, think the most useful parts of the unit are the explanantion of when to use both definite and indefinite articles as well as stating the rules for changing the forms of verbs, that is when to double the consonant. The most important tip I have learned from this unit is that I need to work more on giving equally attention to individual students while I am trying to get all of the students involved. I have given too much opportunities to students that are always active in the class and neglected the ones that are shy or not able to do the task. Helping these students build up confidence is really important.
