Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

I didn't like how the norm-referenced test was not explained in the unit reading. Some of the questions were confusing such as question number 3. There were many concepts and I learned a lot of information about course development and student evaluation. I learned about the limiting factors a teacher may face when teaching a language course and I looked at an example of a syllabus and needs analysis. With all the different theories about what approaches and methods to use in TEFL, its hard to say that one works better then all the rest. It all depends on individual circumstances such as the personality of the teacher and culture of the students. An effective method that gives the teacher freedom to incorporate all kinds of methods in the classroom situation is the ESA, Engage, Study and Activate.
