Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit discussed the present tense verb forms. The fact that there are so many tense forms in the English language compared to other languages makes this a challenge for foreign learners of english. This chapter only covered the present tense forms, and I can see how these would be difficult for foreign learners to understand. This makes it extremely important for an English teacher to have a good grasp of these concepts. The unit was interesting. English is my second language and believed I was fluent. However, reading this unit I feel like I don't truly know the language. Growing up I don't remember learning the language in depth such as gerunds, indefinite and definite articles. The text did mention that we may not have learned some of the parts in a educational setting, but just learned it naturally as we continued to speak the language.
