ITTT Teaching Practice Training Options

Some TEFL employers prefer applicants whose TEFL certificate includes a teaching practice component. ITTT offers five options for training including teaching practice. Before choosing your certificate option read the following descriptions which outline the basic requirements and certificate outcomes.

If you would prefer a course with an in-class component, ITTT has two options:

1. Attendance at one of our 30+ locations worldwide to complete a four-week in-class course which will include at least six hours of observed teaching practice with feedback from training staff.

2. Attendance at one of our Combined course locations. This course consists of our 120-hour online course with tutor support followed by ten days of attendance at one of five locations, to complete your teaching practice. Centers offering this course are: Bangkok, Rome, Barcelona, New York and Phuket. On completion of this course, your certificate will show six hours of observed teaching practice was successfully undertaken

Should you wish to complete your training online, ITTT has three further teaching practice options:

3. The ITTT OTP course. If you already have some certification in TEFL but without teaching practice, you may wish to opt for the 30-hour Observed Teaching Practice (OTP) course. In this course you will video each of your, six, one hour lessons and upload them onto our training system. The videos will be reviewed and you will receive feedback. For this course you must have the ability and equipment available to record and upload your video lessons. On completion of this course, your certificate will show six hours of observed teaching practice was successfully undertaken

All documentation relating to your teaching practice will be sent to ITTT for verification. On completion of this course, your certificate will show six hours of teaching practice was successfully undertaken.
