In his TESOL course review video Wenming tells us about his experience taking the 120-houronline TESOL course with tutor support and videos from ITTT. Wenming felt he learned a lot while studying his course and he was most impressed by the lesson planning task at the end of the course. Although his first attempt at the final lesson planning task was not successful he took on board the detailed feedback he received and his second attempt was successful.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
This unit covered conditional and reported speech. This was one of the most difficult units so far, as the conditions are very complex, and reported speech is very complex as well. I honestly am not sure how exactly I will teach this complicated topic. The descriptions of conditional statements as well as the chart which describes the transition in tenses are very helpful tools. It is exciting to see how the theories I have learned from previous units are put into practice. The two comparable videos demonstrate do's and don'ts in a very vivid way. It shows me what to expect from students if I do things in a particular way. I believe these two videos will be a reminder for me to have an effective lesson plan and a good attitude before I start each class.
