How to Pronounce 'DROSS' - English Pronunciation

 

In this episode, we cover the pronunciation of the word dross. This word describes something that is seen as junk or rubbish. Some synonyms for dross are trash or garbage. This word comes from the Old English 'dr?s' and is also related to Dutch droesem and German Drusen meaning dregs.

I appreciate the template for lesson planning however I did not see an explanation for the Task materials on the last few pages of the unit. I am unsure as to whether this was my mistake in completely missing a section in the unit explaining the last pages, but I was slightly confused when finishing up the unit.Teaching with a course book is very important so we can stick to the syllabus. However, in saying that, we can always look for more materials that can make the lessons more interesting according to the liking of the students so we can keep them more motivated. Having authentic material is more interesting for the students as it can be more topical and have real life use with.
