Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The choice of whether or not to use a course book, and if so, which one, can be quite a complex issue. This unit brought his own ideas by developing notions around course books and lesson materials such as authentic materials, created materials. I will say that teacher has to create his/her own materials to either supplement the course book, or replace sections that are not suitable for the class.I think this unit was really hard. Lesson planning is one of the most important things you have to do. You need to be well-prepared for your classes. However, it is really hard if you are a beginner in teaching. This units lesson plan sheet was extremely helpful. Now I see more clearly how should I plan my classes and what to focus on. Especially pay attention to the time management of the lesson.
