Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Effective teaching encompasses many modes, each constantly being adjusted based upon such aspects as class or individual teaching, student motivation and age, and cultural standards. I found the aspects to consider of adult learners something I hadn't thought about before, especially how they might be rigid in their experience of how classes may be taught, and the potential growing pains for the teacher and student that might cause.Testing is a great way to measure progress against other students, against themselves, and usually provides a fairly accurate snapshot of their abilities. Some students are somewhat prone to anxiety, however, and this will negatively affect their performance. Some students will score highly in a conversation test, but poorly on a written exam. That is when personal interviews could help gauge a more accurate image of their progress.
