Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

The modals are can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have got to, need to and ought to. They are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. Modals can be used to express various situations such as obligation, possibility, probability, permission, prohibition, ability or advice. Some of them give the same meaning however they change the degree of formality.I have learnt from this unit that any language and of course English has four types of skills: 1) Reading & Listening (which constitutes receptive skills). 2( Writing & Speaking (which constitutes productive skills). I have learnt also through the unit how the teacher should teach such receptive skills in the class and what things to take into consideration in order for the lesson to be effective.
