Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, I have learned classroom management and control. Being a teacher requires knowledge about discipline, management and organization of the class. I have learned how to go about this using gestures, eye contacts with the students, voice , students' name calling and so on. Concerning discipline, I have learned that sometimes it is necessary to call the student(s) for a private talk after class. This unit reviewed the different parts of speech. These are things that as a native speaker I am not often conscious of, and would have likely had a hard explaining in detail. I feel the section on transitive vs. intransitive verbs was the most useful. After following the unit and reviewing the parts of speech, I can now easily distinguish between the two by their relation (or lack thereof) to an object.
