The Melbourne Institute is different to most schools out there. That’s because we genuinely love our teachers, and want you to get the most out of your time in Indonesia. We have regular opportunities for TEFL qualified teachers and believe in investing in our staff, which is why we provide ongoing skills development to help you be your best. We also include accommodation, free lunch on-site, and opportunities to teach in orphanages around Indonesia. The Melbourne Institute is committed to bringing the highest international educational standards to Indonesia, and raising the bar of professionalism and enjoyment in language learning. We use our resources to provide free language and leadership training to kids who can’t afford it.

We are looking for EFL teachers who are hard-working and ambitious, who love the challenge of teaching a range of levels, and who can bring their fun, outgoing personality to our amazing team. Life in Jakarta is a life-changing experience, but it’s not for everyone.

If you are looking for a place to shine, we would love to hear from you. E-mail us your application at the address given on the job heading.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit give clear and structured explanation of four past tenses. First, it's said about the constructors how to build a sentence. Next it's explained how and when each tense is appropriate for use. Next step offers possible activities for student's learning. And how to deal with common student's mistakes or confuses between different past tenses or past simple and present perfect for example.I have learned how to act and how not to act in a classroom. I have learned that the teacher attitude towards the class will have a big effect on how successful the class outcome will be. it becomes clearer which activities are used for each stage of the lesson. just from seeing the class video it gives a lot of ideas of how to create new games and activities to suit each learning group and level.
