Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit describes materials that we can use in the classroom. Examples of materials are worksheets, activity sheets, pictures, cards, drawings, charts and others. Authentic materials are those that have been produced for a purpose other than classroom. Non-authentic materials are those for classroom. Lesson plan is important to have as a guide during the class. It is a working document. In this unit I've learned about the methodology of teaching a foreign language. I've also learned different ways on how to construct a lesson in a way that is believed to help students learn the language. I've got different examples of worksheets and ideas on how to engage the class. Finally the unit focused on how to correct the students in a way that is both useful and not traumatizing.
