Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit taught us the simple steps to basic sentence structure. We learned the ideas of nouns, adjectives, prepositions, definite articles and indefinite articles. Unit two has given me a deeper insight on how the English language can be simply broken and structured which will allow me to teach and explain to students taking an ESL class. I am looking forward to the next unit as it will look into grammar. This was a very long unit about pronunciation and phonology. I learned about intonation and how English does have a standard pattern that indicates different meanings. I learned that the phonetic alphabet is standard and that we as teachers should be aware of it. However, we should not teach it directly to students. Instead, we should teach students pronunciation with tongue twisters and fun activities.
