Date posted:2016-04-18 | Writer: Ric Richardson | Email: [email protected]

My name is Ric Richardson. I am from the US and I have lived in China since 2004. Having taught at many schools especially in Qingdao, I have gotten to know them and the teaching situation here, most of which is very good, but one always needs to be careful. The biggest problem is communications and that is where I come in to help EFL teachers. I will connect teachers with schools and may be called on by the teacher anytime during the initial process and while under contract. I am not a typical headhunter as I am only working with schools I am familiar with. It is my desire to place teachers in good situations and have a good source of TEFL qualified teachers to meet our upcoming needs.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit shows the efficiency of the lessons in the course. These two videos demonstrate the efficiency of the class based on the teacher's attitude. I don't think I have learnt much in this unit. It just a sub part of units 3,7 and 9. For engage phase, the teacher didn't do a brief discussion about a topic but rather elicited directly words from learners. This doesn't really match ESA...It is good to read and analyze every single word in the unit. It gave me a lot of information about how to be an organized, prepared teacher. I learned about what makes a good learner, how a teacher can run a classroom without overwhelming and confusing the students. I learnt about the various levels on how to evaluate the level of the students in English with just asking simple questions.
