Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

This unit covered how lesson plans can be made, what should be included in them, and how they should be used. It also discussed how teachers can review their own performance, and went over a few examples of different activities that a teacher could possibly use in lessons. I learned that lesson plans can be highly personalized by the teacher and should be whatever I need them to be, but are also generally useful for record keeping. There is no right or wrong way to create a lesson plan, as long as you come prepared, increase student talk time and are flexible. Things can change very quickly in your classroom and you need to be prepared in case you are sick or are needed elsewhere. Be ing organized is key, so that it keeps you focused and that you can look back on your notes down the road, but always remain flexible , in the class abd with your lesson plans!
