Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

In this unit, I learned about the qualities of good teachers, as well as the various roles a teacher should take on in the classroom. Regarding learners, I learned the qualities of good learners, as well as the distinctions different groups of learners have such as age, culture, and initial proficiency level. These factors may pose challenges, or make learning easier and more interesting. In this unit, we covered the various different teaching equipment and teacher aids that can be used to create an environment more conducive to students learning. I learnt that merely using the equipment or aids without putting any thought into why you are using them will likely not help this goal. There must be a purpose to presenting the information using a particular piece of equipment.
