TEFL and TESOL Courses with a Teaching Practice Component

For nearly two decades ITTT has been at the forefront of providing high-quality TEFL/TESOL courses that can be studied in-class or online. As part of our commitment to offering the best possible training to our students, we are constantly endeavoring to provide courses that meet the demands of the current trends of the TEFL/TESOL industry. This has led us to develop a certification course with subsequent teaching practice.

Why choose a course with a teaching practice component?

Some employers prefer their job applicants to have some form of previous teaching experience in a classroom setting, as well as a certificate of teaching knowledge. One convenient way for English teachers to obtain such a certification is to take a TEFL/TESOL course that includes Observed Teaching Practice (OTP) as part of the syllabus.

Additionally, OTP will allow you to put the skills and techniques learned during your TEFL and TESOL course into practice. You will be able to gain teaching experience with real students, learn from your mistakes and finetune your teaching skills. At the end of the training, you will have the confidence and know-how to lead your own ESL classroom abroad or online.

The three teaching practice options ITTT offers:

Until recently, you could only receive observed teaching practice by attending a training center for anywhere from one to four weeks. However, we at ITTT have developed three different course options including OTP that you can take from anywhere in the world - at your own pace!

150-hour Certification Course with Teaching Practice

Our 150-hour CTP course is aimed mainly at unqualified teachers who require a practical teaching component with their certification but who are, due to geographical or time constraints, unable to attend a TEFL training center in person. The unique benefit of the ITTT CTP course is that all parts of the course can be completed without the need to attend one of our training centers giving you complete flexibility while obtaining a high-level certification.

150-hour Zoom Certification Course with Observed Teaching Practice

The 150-hour Zoom Certification Course with Observed Teaching Practice is a great alternative to a four-week in-class TEFL course. You simply join a live zoom class delivered by an experienced teacher trainer in three different locations/time zones: Europe, Asia, and Central America. Besides the theoretical parts that are involved in a TEFL certification, each course participant will also complete at least six hours of teaching practice with real language learners using the Zoom platform.

30-hour Certificate of Teaching Practice Recognition (CTPR)

If you are already TEFL or TESOL certified but also lacking a teaching practice component, our 30-hour CTPR is perfect for you. This option is aimed at potential teachers or qualified teachers who need to show employers that they have completed six hours of teaching practice. Participants will teach real English Language Learners (ELLs) over a range of student levels and topics. This will be done in the school or language center of their choice and overseen by the staff at the school, completing a total of six one-hour lessons.
