This is what one of our TEFL graduates feels he has gained from the course, or a part of it, and how he plans to put into action what he has learned.
Unit 3 demonstrated the numerous considerations required when developing a syllabus for young learners, providing an insight into levels testing, assessments and examinations. Thus, allowing me to develop a systematic process when designing my own syllabus, highlighting the importance of considering factors such as pupils needs in order to optimise pupil learning. Additionally, unit 3 has outlined and emphasised the importance of EFL levels, allowing me to accommodate lessons towards pupil?s specific needs. Furthermore, unit 3 has increased my understanding of an array of limiting factors that may be encountered when designing a syllabus and the methods that I am able to adopt to combat them.
