Date posted:2008-09-07 | Writer: Winitsuksa School | Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Winitsuksa School is a private Buddhist School operated under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. It is one of the largest secondary schools in Lopburi with almost 4000 students.
The Bi-lingual department has been operating for over 10 years and covers Matyom 1 to 3. All classrooms and offices are air conditioned. Teaching hours are 20 per week, with all Thai public holidays, April and October school holidays paid. All work permit and visa arrangements are arranged and paid for by the school. You have to arrange and pay for own initial Non Immigrant B visa.
The vacancy is for a teacher of English but other subjects taught are health, computer science, science and mathematics. Any qualifications in those subjects would be an advantage.
The position is for native English speakers only. Minimum qualification is a Bachelor degree or equivalent. A TEFL certificate is an advantage.
Salary is 30000-32000 baht per month (including 3000 accommodation allowance) for Bachelors degree and 35000-37000 (including accommodation allowance) for a Masters degree. A performance based annual bonus (without accommodation allowance) is available.
Lopburi is an historic city in Central Thailand 150 kms north of Bangkok. It is famous for its monkey population and Angkor Wat era temples. There are regular day tourists to these temples and the Palace of King Narai. Otherwise it is very much a Thai area where English is not commonly used. If you want to experience true Thailand this is a good place to do so.
Living and accommodation is very cheap. Good apartments cost about 3000 baht per month. Transport to Bangkok is available by rail, bus and minibus. The school is in the CBD and all banks and amenities are within walking distance. Teachers are permitted to leave the school when their teaching duties are finished for the day.
