Inlingua Murcia are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and well-prepared teacher with a university degree and appropriate TEFL qualification for our schools in Murcia and Molina de Segura. The position involves teaching general English and some business English to adults in groups, as well as in personalised one-to-one classes, and also teaching English to young learners (age range from 8 to 16). Our “target language only” policy means that English is used exclusively in class, but we consider that some knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage. inlingua Murcia operates a certified Quality Management System (ISO 9001) where continuous improvement of our teaching skills is key. Full in-house training is provided prior to course commencement and on-going training sessions are held throughout the academic year.
Candidates must be European Union passport-holders and English must be their first language.
Duration of initial contract: 09 January 2012 - 30 June 2012.
The inlingua language centres are located in the centre of Murcia and Molina de Segura in south-eastern Spain. Our school opened in 1968 and since then we have been providing high quality language training for companies, for the local administration and private individuals in the local area. inlingua Murcia-Molina operates in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where the teaching staff work closely together to achieve high standards of language teaching. The languages taught at inlingua Murcia-Molina are English, French, and Spanish. Our teaching method focuses mainly on the development of our students’ speaking and understanding skills and this is achieved by using the extensive range of trainer resource materials developed by the Method and Material Department at inlingua international. Whether it's business English for a group of company employees or general English for someone interested in travelling, our language trainers develop their lessons using the appropriate Trainer's Resource Pack, which contains lesson plans, talking points, cue sheets and a wide variety of ideas for further skills development.
Murcia is in the south-east of Spain and has a population of around 400,000. Two universities and about 40,000 students have a marked influence on the character of the city. Murcia is the capital and administrative centre of the region of the same name. With more than 320 sunny days a year, and many beaches less than 70 km away, the Region of Murcia is a pleasant place to live all year round. The nearest airports to Murcia are: Murcia (San Javier). and Alicante (El Altet).
Salaries start from 1150 € gross/ month for 25 teaching hours/week (Monday to Friday morning). Any additional hours are paid as overtime.
Full Social Security cover.
Paid holidays: Approx. 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks at Easter as well as any local or national holidays which fall within the contractual period.
225 € relocation expenses payable at end of contract.
Help provided with finding accommodation.
University degree and appropriate TEFL qualification.
