Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching.

Unit eleven was very unusual and interesting, like a kind of practical lesson. While watching the demonstration lessons you have to concentrate all attention on the teacher and the students. After watching the first lesson I felt embarrassment and uncomfortable, so after watching these lessons, I convinced that it is important to build the lesson clearly and keep a friendly atmosphere in the class. In this unit, I learnt how there are four different kinds of skills - receptive (listening and reading) and productive (speaking and writing). In this unit, we focused on the receptive (reading and listening) and the different techniques needed to teach these receptive skills. The unit also explained how we could implement the straight arrow structure of ESA to plan a lesson involving these skills.
