The British Council Tunisia has vacancies for three experienced teachers and two co-ordinators on full-time contracts to work in our busy and successful Teaching Centre in Tunis. Purpose built 4 years ago, the premises boast possibly the best educational facilities in the Maghreb, with Interactive White Boards in all 13 classrooms.
Opportunities exist for learning and development via teaching on a full range of course types (Adults and YLs) as well as exams work (IELTS, Cambridge Adult and YL, BEC, ICFE, etc). Co-ordinators have a special area of responsibility such as Young Learners or E-learning. In addition, a large scale project with the Ministry of Education is already leading to opportunities for teachers to get involved in wider ELT initiatives and teacher training.
Often described as the most stable and accessible of Arab countries, Tunisia offers a unique cultural experience in a Mediterranean climate. You must be highly proficient in the use of the English language with a first degree or equivalent qualification. Some connection to the UK (eg UK passport or qualification) is also required in order to obtain a work permit. Criminal Records checks are also required.
Contract Type: Fixed term (2 years)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).
Paid in Tunisian Dinars on a variable scale
