Why take a tefl course Why take a tefl course? One simple answer could be to get a job teaching English. Another answer might be to teach English in a foreign country. Or possibly it's just to get certified if you're already teaching somewhere. Whatever your reasons may be to take a tefl course, the outcome is all the same. You will receive the tools to be able to teach English as a foreign language just about anywhere. But is that it? I mean, if you know your reasons for doing it, then I think it's not a hard choice. But what if you were on the fence about deciding to take a course? What could influence you more to get over that fence and just divide right in? I believe it's what TEFL has to offer. I believe that taking a tefl course would be beneficial to anyone who is truly interested in teaching English as a foreign language. I'm speaking as a two-year teacher without any previous teaching experience.
