TEFL Courses Tokyo - Accommodation Options

We have 5 options for your TEFL course accommodation in Tokyo, but you may also like to make your own arrangements.

Option 1: Rent an apartment for 1 month at approximately 88,000 yen per month. This does not include bills, linen cleaning and agent’s commission of 48,600 yen.

Option 2: A guesthouse (ryokan), without meals. Experience sleeping on a traditional Japanese futon while in Japan.

This option costs approximately 4,725 yen (single), 6,825 yen (double) or 7,875 yen (twin) per day.

Option 3: A long-stay hotel. If you are more price-conscious, you might consider staying in a hotel. Prices from:

• Single: 3,350 yen (one night)
• Discounted single room: 3,150 yen (more than three consecutive nights)
• Monthly single room: 87,900 yen
• Twin Room Charge: 4,800 yen (one night)
• Discounted twin room: 4,600 yen (more than three consecutive nights)
• Monthly twin room: 132,000 yen

These rates would include tax.

Option 4: A youth hostel-style hotel. This option is more basic, but with attractive prices. Typical prices including tax are:

• Eight-person room: 2,940 yen per person
• Daily two-person room charge: 8,295 yen
• Daily four-person room charge: 12,600 yen
• Daily six-person room charge: 17,640 yen
• Daily eight-person room charge: 23,520 yen

Option 5: Youth Hostel. If you are a member of the IYHA, you could stay in the Tokyo Sumidagawa Youth Hostel. Please contact them directly for rates.
