• Recognized TEFL Programs

  A certificate in TEFL or TESOL is the initial qualification that all students are required to complete successfully before they may commence employment as a teacher of English overseas. • Online TEFL Courses

  Online or distance learning is becoming an ever more popular choice with our trainees. The standard of such courses can vary according to the particular provider and many do not meet the high standards set. There is therefore a danger that students obtaining certification by this route will not have the required skills to teach English effectively – mainly due to the fact that the nature of an online course makes it difficult to obtain practical classroom experience. We would therefore recommend that those students who take this route seek out an online course that provides a minimum of 100 hours tutor lead training. This basically means that a course tutor will personally be on hand to assist and guide you every step of the way.

• Combined TEFL Programs

  To combat the above-mentioned shortcomings of a course that is undertaken exclusively online applicants may wish to consider the further option of taking a combined course. Such courses cover the more theoretical aspects of training online to fit in with your personal time requirements. The completion of the online part of the course is then built on by the more practical part of the course which is undertaken in class at one of our worldwide training locations and lasts for a period of 2 weeks. This part of the course is monitored by one of our experienced teacher trainers who will also provide guidance as you put the theory section of the course into practice. Typically this course will suit those students who cannot afford to take 4 weeks out from their employment but still do not wish to lose out on practical experience.
