TEFL Courses in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Formerly the capital of South Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is the largest city in Vietnam. Commonly known by its former name, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh is a superb location for TEFL Courses in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City has a population of 7 million and is Vietnam’s economical and cultural center, yet the city still retains much of its culture and traditions, where much of city life takes places on the streets in cafes, markets, stalls shops and many waterside venues.

A city, which has experienced much more than others, there is an abundance of things to se and do here. Visit the Historical Museum displaying artifacts from the Bronze Age, the Tran and Le Dynasties and many artifacts from Agnor Watt. Ben Thanh Market, the largest in the city, is where you can discover Ho Chi Minh like a local. Visit the War Crime Museum, which exhibits crimes committed by Americans and Vietnamese during the Vietnam War, along with an array of military armor, and a guillotine used by French colonialists as recent as 1920. Don’t forget to drop by Chinatown and visit the Thien Hau Temple.

Wherever you go in this vibrant city, there is an energetic, optimistic feel, with many large multinational companies establishing offices here, yet HCMC retains its uniquely Vietnamese dynamic.

Close by to Ho Chi Minh, you can find superb beaches along the coast and tall mountains inland. Wherever you go in Vietnam, you will experience the hospitality and charm of its warm and friendly people.

Ho Chi Minh City Climate

Ho Chi Minh is just 10.5º north of the equator and 5m to 10m above the sea level and therefore has an enjoyable tropical climate characterized by a dry and rainy season.

The dry season (winter) is from late November to April with the average temperature during this season is 26ºC (83 ºF). The rainy season (summer) is from May to November with June and August being the wettest months. During the rainy season, it doesn’t usually rain for long, just short periods in the late afternoon. February thru May are the hottest months and it can get quite humid until the beginning of the rainy season.

Whichever time of year you attend our TEFL courses in Vietnam, you are sure to have a uniquely Vietnamese experience that could spark deep affection for this magnificent country and its people.
